Communicating In Spirit: When Communication Is Spiritual, Not Just Verbal
Use Left/Right to seek, Home/End to jump to start or end. Hold shift to jump forward or backward.
What if your words are telling the truth about your walk with God? We open the new year by pressing into a challenging idea: communication is spiritual first, then verbal. From kitchen-table moments to church platforms, the tone of our speech, the speed of our reactions, and the voices we let shape us all reveal whether we’re led by logic or by the Spirit.
Together we trace a thread through Scripture—Galatians 5:25, Habakkuk’s watchtower, Jesus’ warning about the yeast of the Pharisees—to show how revelation transforms information into power. We talk about why theology without intimacy falls flat, how gift differs from anointing, and how subtle “yeast” can taint a well and warp discernment. Along the way, we name what many feel but rarely say: atmospheres communicate, images speak, and inner checks from the Holy Spirit are often clearer than the loudest opinions in your feed.
We also get practical. Words are seeds; they plant life or death in homes, marriages, and friendships. If past voices sowed curses, God can uproot them and send new voices to water truth. If you’re wondering whether it’s okay to step back from unhealthy ties, we talk boundaries without bitterness and how to let the Spirit—not fear—lead your decisions. We revisit James’ charge to be quick to listen and slow to speak, remembering that creation still responds to God’s voice and that intimacy with Him tunes our ears for timing, tone, and trust.
If you’re hungry to hear God more clearly and speak with greater peace, this conversation will help you guard your well, choose better inputs, and let your tongue follow the Spirit. Subscribe, share with a friend who needs clarity, and leave a review with one change you’ll make to your communication this week.

New Year, New Season Opener
SPEAKER_00Welcome back to another episode of Stepping in Faith, where together we explore the importance of having a relationship with God and how that relationship with God can impact the relationship you have with others. I'm your host, Walter. I'm joined here alongside my lovely wife.
SPEAKER_01Shania.
SPEAKER_00What episode is this?
SPEAKER_01I have no clue.
SPEAKER_00Oh my gosh. It's been a minute, everyone. We are excited to be back. Let me see. This is episode uh eight, actually.
SPEAKER_01Is it eight?
SPEAKER_00It's eight. We should be way beyond eight.
SPEAKER_01I think we should be at like 10.
SPEAKER_00We should be at like 18.
SPEAKER_01No, we should not.
unknownOkay.
SPEAKER_00Anyhow, no, we should. Like 1820. We should be getting ready to wrap up the season.
SPEAKER_01But we have we haven't even we just started a couple of weeks, some weeks ago.
SPEAKER_00No, we started way before a couple of weeks ago. But we are here. Uh we are grateful to be here. Um we're back at it live and in action.
SPEAKER_01Um Happy New Year.
SPEAKER_00Happy New Year, Merry Christmas.
SPEAKER_01That's the first episode of 2026.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, but I was thinking about that this morning, and it's like, you know, not to be deep, but how all of the churches celebrate New Year. But technically speaking, within the Jewish calendar, the new year already begun.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, it already started.
SPEAKER_00Like in what?
SPEAKER_01It was like a month ago. Was it September? October?
SPEAKER_00I believe it was like September, August or September.
SPEAKER_01I think it was like August, September, something like that. But we've already been in the new year, but technically. Technically.
SPEAKER_00So but that's neither here nor there. Um let's see. Um I started off in prayer last time. So I think it's my wife's turn to start this off in prayer. Would you like to allow the Lord to use you, ma'am?
Prayer And Framing The Topic
SPEAKER_01Sure. Heavenly Father, we thank you for this day. We thank you for this new year. We thank you, Father God, for everything that you're doing and everything that you are about to do in this new season. Um, we ask, Father God, that you will open up the ears and the eyes to those listening and watching to hear and see what you're saying. Not in just the physical, Father God, in the natural, but also in the spirit, Father God. Allow their eyes to hear, hear, allow their eyes to see and hear what the Lord is saying. In Jesus' name we pray.
SPEAKER_00Amen. Amen. So you have the notes? Yes. Why is it not on my iPad? I sent it to you, but I don't see it on my iPad.
SPEAKER_01What is the title of this episode today?
SPEAKER_00I don't know. Um what was given to me when it was being given to me was uh communication. I mean, maybe it sounds cheesy, but the importance of godly communication.
SPEAKER_01The importance of godly communication? We'll we'll pray about it.
SPEAKER_00That's what I was given. Like he wanted us to talk about communication.
SPEAKER_01No, it's good. I think this is good for the first episode of 2026.
SPEAKER_00Communication.
Is Ghosting Ever Godly
SPEAKER_01A lot of people cut people off, probably and aren't talking to them this year.
SPEAKER_00You know what? That is always interestingly a part of everyone's New Year's resolution.
SPEAKER_01To cut people off.
SPEAKER_00It it's always one of them.
SPEAKER_01I saw a post um uh when was it yesterday about ghosting? Is ghost is I think it was on Jackie Hill's podcast with um, I don't know who the lady's name was, but they were talking about ghosting, and I don't know how long this post was, but is ghosting like a sin?
SPEAKER_00Ghosting once again is when you completely just stop communicating. Shut down. No, I think that's a good thing sometimes. Some people you need to ghost.
SPEAKER_01No, I'm not I'm not disagreeing. I don't think because I you know what came to me was when I when I was listening to it, was when Jesus told um, I don't know, I don't remember I I never really remember the disciple he told to um, you know, let the dead bury the dead. Drop everything.
SPEAKER_00Was it a disciple or was it a someone was it someone?
SPEAKER_01It was a it was a I thought it was a disciple that wanted to go and bury their father.
SPEAKER_00You can continue off on the scripture.
SPEAKER_01Um, but what was coming to me is that um you don't owe anybody an explanation as to why you are cutting them off. I think the world wants us to um make me make people feel comfortable, you know, and it's just not it's not our job. We're not supposed to mesh with people we're not supposed to be meshing with. And then I think that the main thing is is I think people feel like ghosting is rude and disrespectful. But at the end of the day, is like, did you consult God when you had that relationship in the first place?
SPEAKER_00Yeah.
SPEAKER_01You know, is that a relationship you were supposed to have? And I think the thing is a lot of people are like, oh, you know, we can get through this. And, you know, a lot of friendships could be saved. And it's like, it's really like not, it's not up to you. You know, it's it's God's, if God doesn't want that person in your life, you can't force them. You can force them to be in your life, but if that's not his plan, it's just not his plan. And if that person is supposed to be there in your life, he will make it happen. Because even going through the wilderness, and I'm, you know, I cut a lot of people off. Um, not intentionally, but they just kind of happened. We just kind of, you know, fell apart. And some people stayed and some people did not. And I guess you could say I ghosted them, didn't answer phone calls, didn't answer texts, didn't call them or anything like that. And it would be a form of ghosting, but it was all intentional because that's what God wanted to happen.
Scripture On Costly Allegiance
SPEAKER_00Well, the scripture you're we're not gonna entitle this ghosting people. No. But the scripture that you referred to, referring to is Matthew's 8, you know, starts with verse 18. Uh, and it states, uh, and um this is an NLT version, when Jesus saw the crowd around him, he instructed his disciples to cross to the other side of the lake. Uh, then one of the teachers of religious law said to him, Teacher, I will follow you wherever you go. But Jesus replied, Foxes have dens to live in and birds have nests, but the son of man has no place even to lay his head. Another of his disciples said, Lord, first let me return home and bury my father. But Jesus told him, Follow me now. Let the spiritually dead bury their own dead.
SPEAKER_01Yeah. It's a really It's tough because he didn't he didn't say, You yeah, you can go and let them know, you know, what you're gonna do. He's like, No, you gotta stop what you're doing, or stop what you think about and just follow me.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, you may have to move your hand. I don't know if it's gonna try to focus on your hand. Do your hand typically be there?
SPEAKER_03Mm-hmm.
SPEAKER_00Okay. It does that with me sometime. But yeah, I mean, it's very true. Um, it's challenging. I would say uh a lot of relationships that we ended, we did it because it was we were led by the Holy Spirit to do so.
SPEAKER_02Yeah.
Communication Mirrors Your Walk With God
SPEAKER_00Um, I was, you was. I definitely was very careful. People, please understand, because you know, I didn't touch her. You know, the relationships that you ended was based on God dealing with you personally. Just like the relationships that I had to walk away from was based on God dealing with me personally. We have to be really careful because as if there is such a thing called spiritual manipulation, where people will try to use God or use this idea of being able to hear the voice of voice of God to get people to do things um that they should not be doing or that God may not necessarily be wanting them to do. So I guess that's a good place to start in or dive into communication.
SPEAKER_02Yeah.
SPEAKER_00So um I believe the way where we can begin is communication reveals where we are spiritually with God, or just in general, right? How we communicate with our spouses, our children, our family, uh members, both in the faith uh and uh biologically, right? So our spirit like our spiritual brothers and sisters in the faith, and both our biological family is directly correlated to how we communicate with the father and the amount of time we spend with him. And so I don't think we think about the fact that when you're going through life and how those relationships are and how you interact with those same relationships and how you approach those relationships is a direct uh reflection of your relationship with Christ, your relationship with the Father, and how you move.
SPEAKER_01Right, which is why some relationships you formed outside of Christ or outside of God that you shouldn't be in anymore.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, which is challenging. Because, you know, as you're shifting, right, um the communication that you have now and how you communicate uh is really a reflection of whether we've truly taken up our cross and and follow Christ and now following Christ, and that's what Christ has commanded us to do. And it reveals whether we are submitted to the Holy Spirit. And a lot of people don't like when we say that every part of your life has to be submitted to the Holy Spirit.
SPEAKER_02Yeah.
SPEAKER_00However, the scripture that comes to mind that we always go to is Galatians 5 and 25, right? And Galatians 5 and 25 says that since we are living by the Spirit, let us follow the Spirit's leading in every part of our lives.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_00So in all that we do, we are to be led by the Spirit of God, by the Holy Spirit.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_00And the Bible refers to the Spirit of God, the Holy Spirit being what? The revealer of all truth.
SPEAKER_01Truth.
SPEAKER_00And Jesus stated that the Spirit would be who he would send as our helper who would reveal the things that he wanted us to know.
SPEAKER_02Yeah.
SPEAKER_00So revealing the thoughts of who Jesus. And so um the principles of scripture, right? And whether we are submitted to them determines whether scripture remains information or becomes revelation. And we talk about this all the time. Yeah, revelation is what unlocks the power of the scripture. So we have people who are moving based off of scripture, but there's no revelation, and that can directly impact how you communicate.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, there's no truth.
SPEAKER_00So let's, and I never looked into this, but let's dig into the definition of communication. You want to pull that up and say what the definition of communication is? Or do you want me to?
SPEAKER_01Um It's kinda hard. Can I do split screen on my phone?
SPEAKER_00I don't know. You want my um you want my iPad?
SPEAKER_01No, it's fine.
SPEAKER_00There you go.
SPEAKER_01I probably should have got my um, I could've got my laptop.
SPEAKER_00You could have.
SPEAKER_01My own.
SPEAKER_00Hold on, people, let me give my wife my iPad and try to see.
Living By The Spirit, Not Logic
SPEAKER_01No, no, you're fine.
SPEAKER_00You sure?
SPEAKER_01Yeah, yeah. The definition of um communication is the imparting or exchanging of information or news. The means of sending or receiving information, such as phones line, phone lines or computers, etc.
SPEAKER_00So I like the general definition here, right? So one is communication is the process by which information, meaning, intent, or understanding is transmitted and received between one party and another through a shared medium.
SPEAKER_01Well, why'd you have me look up look it up if you already had a definition?
SPEAKER_00No, I was I was seeing what it was gonna say to you. Oh so um communication is the exchange of information. This is just a general definition, it's not the Webster definition. But communication is the exchange of information, ideas, thoughts, or meaning through verbal, nonverbal, written, or symbolic means. So the interesting thing, right, and uh it's somewhere in here, but one of the things that that was coming to me last night is that when we're communicating, right, as we go into different atmospheres, what's wrong? You saw okay. As we go into different atmospheres, um, we don't realize as you pick up on a particular atmosphere in a home or a building or whatever may have you, or a city, or a state, or a country, right? We traveled to Europe uh last year, and we were immediately able to pick up on the atmosphere in that city that we was in in Europe. And so that's also a form of communicating in the spirit. Or even when the scripture lets us know that spirit recognizes spirit, right?
SPEAKER_02Yeah.
SPEAKER_00That is also a form of communication, which is why it's so interesting that the definition states that it literally is in general terms, communication is the exchange of information, ideas, thoughts, or meanings through verbal, nonverbal, right, written, or symbolic means. Symbolic means we think about dreams and visions that God give us. That is a form of God communicating us through and communicating to us by way of dreams and visions.
SPEAKER_01Right. So like in nursing, we have uh pain scales, and then we have different pain scales, and in each scale, you have like a different face. It's like, you know, some for someone who isn't verbal, but they're visual, and they can choose which face of their emotion or their pain that they're feeling.
SPEAKER_00And it's like pictograms, but God uses visions and dreams, parables, and parables, the scripture can be used for God to communicate your beauty.
SPEAKER_01He also talks to you what telepathically.
SPEAKER_00Yes.
SPEAKER_01So you can hear your thoughts, and but you can hear them in your thoughts.
SPEAKER_00Well, see, and then even when God speaks, it's almost like so we know that the spirit of God and your spirit is where? It's within your diaphragm. And so it's almost like it comes up from there, right? Because from your belly out of your life, from your belly, exactly, which is which the scripture says full of living water. Yeah. And so when we think about it from that perspective, we have to understand, even within that, right, there is a communication that's taking place. Because you're even as you pray, the Bible speaks, speaks about you praying in unknown languages. Romans 8 talks about how what that when we don't know what to pray, that we come into partnership with the Spirit of God. And the Holy Spirit will pray for us through tongues and unknown languages, praying the perfect will of God for our lives, right? And so, even within that, when you are praying and there are revelations that's being revealed to you by way of the Holy Spirit, that now has to be translated, right? And once it's translated, that is communication that's giving you what God has given to the spirit of God that is connected or intertwined with your spirit. And so, and I think you touch on that somewhere in here, the importance of not being having a tainted well. Because Jesus, when he was at the well with the woman, right, the Samaritan woman, I believe it was, um, who had multiple partners, uh, he spoke to her and he told her, what, that the water I give you comes from, I you can drink from this well and it would never run dry.
SPEAKER_02Right.
Defining Communication Beyond Words
SPEAKER_00And so it's important that our well is also pure. And that's another thing that we have to think about when we're dealing with communication. And this all ties back to the importance of have us having a healthy relationship with God, the Father.
SPEAKER_01Right. So we can discern communication because even you can have communication nonverbally, but also physically through just your body. You can be in a space and you could just feel it in your belly, like, I don't really need to be here.
SPEAKER_03Yeah.
SPEAKER_01Or you get chills when you you're somewhere um that has a lot of spiritual activity um or a lot of demonic activity, and you get chills because you're like, oh, I'm getting fearful. You know, it's an emotion, but it's still communicating, like, hey, you don't need to be here, you need to leave. Or watching something.
SPEAKER_00You're watching something, or um you are listening to music, or you're watching a particular program. And like I was telling you yesterday, I was playing a particular game, and immediately it just was grieving the Holy Spirit and I'm within me, and I'm like, okay, I can't play this. I I felt it immediately.
SPEAKER_02Yeah.
SPEAKER_00Uh you could you could pick up on the spirit of fear and different things like that. And so, but I think the other thing is part of communication is listening and coming to and coming into agreement. Right. I think John Bevere talked about searing the uh Holy Spirit.
SPEAKER_01I think that out. Yeah, I think a lot of people, and I think it's very important because a lot of I think it's very important to understand nonverbal cues and understand that that is also communication. Because a lot of time, and I know this is a relationship podcast, but a lot of times we be, we're in our relationships with people, and it can be romantic or it can be a friendship. Um, and then we just get a feeling or we get like this inner knowing, or we just don't feel right about something. And you're like, okay, well, I don't really, I don't think I want to be here in this relationship anymore. But you have now you the world tells you to think logically, like you have to have some type of reason. But you've already been communicating, your spirit's been communicating with God's spirit, or your spirit's been communicating to you, hey, this isn't right. You don't have to have the words, but you have the feeling. You it's already been communicated to you.
SPEAKER_00Well, you have to be really careful because I believe the greatest things that the greatest thing that would destroy you being able to access the spirit um or have access to the spirit of God or shut down communication or um create a break outside of sin is the fact that we dig deeply into logic and reason.
SPEAKER_02Yeah.
SPEAKER_00And so we have to remember that the in the beginning with the Bible, when we read the scriptures in the beginning, it talks about what the tree of knowledge.
SPEAKER_02Yeah.
SPEAKER_00And so that tree of knowledge is this world's wisdom, it's logic, it's all of those things which you have to be really careful of because when you think of things of the spirit, it goes against the very logic that you think you know of the logic of this world.
SPEAKER_02Yeah.
SPEAKER_00The two don't don't necessarily match up all the time.
SPEAKER_02Right.
SPEAKER_00So you have to be really careful when you're being extremely logical. Um, the Bible lets us know that his ways are not like our ways, his thoughts are not like our thoughts.
SPEAKER_02Right.
SPEAKER_00So you sometimes within the confinement of our mind, the truth of the matter is that it's just not powerful enough to even comprehend the things that God has done or the things that God is doing.
SPEAKER_01No. And a lot of times, I don't know, you used to watch a lot of those mystery um or uh murder cases and stuff like that. And you're like, every single time people were like, I just had this bad feeling that I shouldn't go. And they end up going and something happens.
Discernment, Atmospheres, And Nonverbal Signals
SPEAKER_00Yeah. When you study, many of them um, you know, because that's something I was into, they all would say the same thing. Somebody would tell when they was telling the story, they would say they had a bad feeling of going around that person or being here. Of being there and that they didn't listen.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_00And so that was always uh something that was interesting to me. And then even when you look into and not to get dark and we're not going to, but just from a spiritual perspective, when you look into some of these serial killers, they always say the same thing that it was something that was telling them to do that thing. And they was answering that voice. And so what we don't understand that even from a demonic perspective, that's still communication.
SPEAKER_01It's still communication. Yeah.
SPEAKER_00And so the scripture that I wanted to read real quick for the revelation and understanding that, you know, the importance of revelation, that revelation comes only through the spirit of God is job, um, job. Job. Job 32, verse 8. And it states that, but there is a spirit within people, uh, the breath of the Almighty within them that makes them intelligent. So Job uh was saying to us, right, that it is by way of the Holy Spirit that we are able to receive that revelation that we need. And I think sometimes with us, we forget that we are spirit beings.
SPEAKER_01Right. I was just about to say that.
SPEAKER_00And we're called to operate in the spirit first.
SPEAKER_01Right.
SPEAKER_00And that communication takes place in the spirit first.
SPEAKER_01And it doesn't matter if you're a believer or not.
SPEAKER_00It's still just the reality of what it is.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_00Also, communication is not merely verbal or emotional, which we already already understand.
SPEAKER_02Right.
SPEAKER_00It is spiritual. And it includes recognizing what spirit is operating in a conversation and discerning shifts, which we talked about in the atmosphere. That also is by way of the spirit.
SPEAKER_02Right.
SPEAKER_00And so, you know, we can go to John 4 and 24. Do you want to read that real quick? Or do you want me to read it?
SPEAKER_01You can if you already have it pulled up, cuz.
SPEAKER_00So John 4, verse 24, says something as simple as this. And this is the newly invented translation version of it. Um, it states, for God is spirit, so those who worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth. Okay. So with that being the case, we this only further uh proves the that that Jesus reveals that God is spirit and everything that we do starts in the spirit, even how we approach worship with him. We also know Romans 12 and 1 tells us that what we are to worship him with our life, how we live our lifestyle. So if Romans 12 and 1 tells us that we are to worship him with our life, that our life is to become worship for God, then what that means to us is that everything that we do should operate. We should be operating within the spirit first, which is why it leads right back to Galatians 5 and 25, I believe, that teaches us what that we are to allow the Holy Spirit to lead us in everything that we do.
SPEAKER_02Right.
SPEAKER_00So essentially this reveals to us that we are spirit beings designed to operate in the spirit first, and that God moves in the spirit. And so what we see in a natural is nothing more than a reflection of what is taking place in the spirit first.
SPEAKER_01Right. It's a natural manifestation of what was already spoken.
SPEAKER_00Exactly. So we are designed to operate in the spirit first, make decisions from the spirit, and then see those decisions impact the natural. And the issue is, right, uh when the fall of man took place, we shifted from the spirit to the flesh, which became the problem, right? So now, because of the fall of man, we're referring to Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden. Uh, we moved away from operating in the spirit and began operating in the flesh first. And we don't even recognize the spirit.
SPEAKER_02Right.
SPEAKER_00And that was the plan of the enemy from the beginning. So when the serpent tempted Eve, his approach was to get her to operate in the flesh. She saw the fruit with her eyes and saw that it was good instead of operating in the spirit. And so humanity inherited the desire to view life through the eyes of the soul.
SPEAKER_02Right.
SPEAKER_00So, and that's what we are right now. And that is the struggle that we deal with on a day-to-day basis. We are constantly struggling with viewing life through what through what we see.
SPEAKER_01It's like, oh, if I see this, then I can I can respond based on what I see, not on based on what I know, not based on what the truth is.
SPEAKER_00But that the scripture that comes to mind and uh the watchtower, right? What scripture is that? You know what I'm talking about?
SPEAKER_01I have no idea.
SPEAKER_00Standing upon their watchtower to see what the Lord was saying. Uh Habakkuk 2 and 1. It says that I will stand upon my watch and set me upon let me do the NLT. We'll do the NLT version. Habakkuk 2, chapter 1 says this. I will climb up to my watchtower and stand at my guard post. There I will wait to see what the Lord says.
SPEAKER_02Yeah.
Logic Vs Revelation And Inner Witness
SPEAKER_00And how he would answer my complaint. See. Why didn't he say I will wait to hear what the Lord says? He said, I will wait to see. So even as God is speaking, once again, and I think that's really important because we don't think about it, primarily when God is communicating this with us, it's through our thoughts.
SPEAKER_02Yeah.
SPEAKER_00We're hearing him based on what he says through what we see. So the thing that the enemy wanted to impact with us, and he consistently tries to impact with us, is our sight.
SPEAKER_01Image.
SPEAKER_00He battles our sight, our image, our thoughts. Because Habakkuk said, I'm standing upon my watchtower to wait to see what the Lord has to say. Not to wait to hear. Even as we're hearing with our ears, right? Within within with our inner ears. I'm sorry, I probably blocked myself out. But even as we're hearing with our inner ears, we're still hearing, and I'm popping and stuff. We're still hearing with our eyes.
SPEAKER_01What'd you just pop?
unknownI don't know.
SPEAKER_01Okay.
SPEAKER_00We're still hearing with our eyes, our spiritual eyes. Which is why the enemy always trying to uh attack our um our subconscious, our thoughts.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, how we view things.
SPEAKER_00Exactly.
SPEAKER_01How we see things, how we see people.
SPEAKER_00So this is a lot. Genesis 3, Galatians 5 and 16 through 23. For time's sake, I would say read both. But that really gives us an example of how what took place in the Garden of Eden shifted us from being moved based upon the Spirit of God and being led by our flesh. And uh Galatians 5, 16 through 23, it gives a difference between being led by the flesh versus being led by the spirit of God and what is produced when you're led by your flesh versus when you're led by the spirit of God. And what that does is basically manifest itself in how you communicate.
SPEAKER_01Yeah. So if you guys need to pause and read that before we go forward, please do.
SPEAKER_00Be our guests. And should we read it? I mean, I know we got some stuff to go through. I think we can, I guess we could. So, um we've read it before. So we would just say, hey, read, read Galatians uh 5, 16 through 23 and read Genesis 3 and meditate on that. So you want to move on into uh section four?
SPEAKER_01Sure.
SPEAKER_00Isn't that what you was it was some things God was giving to you?
SPEAKER_01I have no clue.
SPEAKER_00Okay. This is some of the things God gave to you.
SPEAKER_01Oh, okay. Um who we listen to shapes how we communicate. So communicating with the wrong people distorts our views of God and how we communicate with Him. Um I don't remember.
SPEAKER_00My wife gave me a whole bunch of notes. She was up early one morning and she just began to da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da.
SPEAKER_01You know, like when the spirit be speaking to you and and you just be gone and you don't remember. I don't remember.
SPEAKER_00So I'll go into it. Because I think this is good.
SPEAKER_01If you could start and help me out a little bit.
SPEAKER_00So uh reading what my wife stated before, again, communicating with the wrong people distorts our view of God and how we communicate with him. And communication is not shaped in isolation, it is directly influenced by who we listen to and who we allow to instruct us about God. We have to be careful of the company we keep. We have to be careful of who we look to as leaders and pillars in the faith, because uh what happens, and it's it's happened with us as well, and we have to be mindful, and I believe that's what the Holy Spirit was dealing with my wife on, is that the more you listen to these different people, what begin to happen is that the voice of God begins to uh decrease. And it's not that God is speaking less, it's just now there be their voice is starting to influence how you hear God or how you interpret what you hear God saying. And so it it it that's touching on a tainted well, right?
SPEAKER_02Yeah.
Job’s Insight And Worship In Spirit
SPEAKER_00And so yo, that's perfect for Matthew's uh chapter 16, verse 6 and 11 through 12, if you want to read that, because the Bible says uh it lets us know in those scriptures that Jesus warned his disciple to beware of the yeast of the Pharisees. Did you want to read that real quick?
SPEAKER_02Read what babe.
SPEAKER_00Um Matthew 16, uh verse six through 11. That's about verse six and eleven through twelve.
SPEAKER_01Matthew sixteen verse six. Verse six. Okay. Yes, okay, it's coming back to me. Slightly, a little bit, a little bit. Um watch out, Jesus warned them. Beware of the yeast of the Pharisees and the Sadducees.
SPEAKER_00And then you went to 11 through 12. So you can read it all if you want.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, let's see. The yeast of the Pharisees and the Sadducees. Uh, later after they crossed to the other side of the lake, the disciples discovered they had forgotten to bring any bread. Watch out, Jesus warned them. Beware of the yeast of the Pharisees and the Sadisees. At this, at this, they began to argue with each other because they hadn't brought any bread. Jesus knew what they were saying, so he said, You have so little faith. Why are you arguing with each other about having no bread? Don't you understand, even yet? Don't you remember the 5,000 I fed with five loaves and the baskets of leftovers you picked up, or the 4,000 I fed with seven loaves and the large baskets of leftovers you picked up? Why can't you understand that I'm not talking about bread? So again, I say, beware of the yeast of the Pharisees and the Sadducees. Then at last they understood that he wasn't speaking about the yeast in bread, but about the deceptive teaching of the Pharisees and the Sadducees.
SPEAKER_00Right? Uh yeast is a le a leave a leavening, a leavening agent that works quietly and invisibly. That permeates and transforms whatever it is introduced into.
SPEAKER_01Right. In the same way.
SPEAKER_00Go ahead.
SPEAKER_01Oh, in the same way false teaching spreads.
SPEAKER_00Yeah. So suddenly. So it says only it's only a small, it's only small in quantity. Only a little is needed. Invisible in effect, it works, its work isn't is not immediately seen. Pervasive. It spreads through the whole mixture.
SPEAKER_01Yep.
SPEAKER_00Transformative. It changes the nature of what it touches. Irreversible once active, it cannot be separated back out.
SPEAKER_01Yeah. Is that what I had early on there earlier?
SPEAKER_00I don't know, but I just wanted to see what it meant.
SPEAKER_01Oh, I think I I had that on the on the last um outline that I made.
SPEAKER_03So go ahead.
SPEAKER_01But a little bit of yeast will corrupt the whole entire dough. It's just a just a tad bit subtly. And so it's it's important about it's important who you're listening to and allowing those that yeast to spread.
SPEAKER_00Yeah. And that's why that that digs back into communication and understanding that now what happens when you're listening to the wrong person or the wrong people, right? It taints your will.
SPEAKER_02Yes.
SPEAKER_00And the way that it impacts your communication with God now is when God is communicating with you. Now, as you're interpreting that, you're interpreting that from a corrupt uh well.
SPEAKER_01Right. Or what you're interpreting in your spewing back out to people isn't pure. It's not pure dough, it's yeasty.
Garden To Flesh: The Great Shift
SPEAKER_00Even including what you receive for yourself, it now is mixed in with soulish type teachings. Teachings. And that that's the greatest thing to understand. Um you have corrupt teachings because people are teaching from the place of the soul. Yeah. And then you have outright just um uh purposeful uh what's the word I'm trying to look for? Disruptive like teaching that's basically antichrist.
SPEAKER_02Yeah.
SPEAKER_00You have people that's purposefully operating within the false prophet type realm or teaching false teachings purposefully.
unknownRight.
SPEAKER_00There are those who just they teach from the soul unknowingly. They don't know that their their world is corrupted, they don't realize the instances, or even when they communicate, they approach that. And when we're talking about communication because it impacts every area, every area of life.
SPEAKER_02Yeah.
SPEAKER_00That includes teachings, that includes how you raise your children, that includes how you uh communicate with your wife or your husband, your friends, your family.
SPEAKER_02Right.
SPEAKER_00All of this is completely connected to us consistently communicating. And so I think that's why this stands out so much. And you had that here when I just looked up. And so I know you have here Galatians 5 and 9 and 1 Corinthians 5 and 6, where it states that Paul also worried warned that false teaching spreads like yeast.
SPEAKER_02Right.
SPEAKER_00So these those are other scripture references that you all can utilize to go to. So this is good. These teachings, you want to go? Go ahead. I know you got something to say.
SPEAKER_01No, no, no. I was just gonna read what I had here is that when you know the when teaching replaces relationship, um, people begin to assume that they know God because they are listening to the teachings, but they don't have a relationship. And so those teachings can be tainted if you don't know where these teachings are coming from. If you don't know the creator, if you don't have the relationship, if you're not getting a full pure bread.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, no, I agree. Um it's really understanding the importance, and it goes back to people, um, they take theology and they utilize that to be their way of hearing God. So theology literally replaced the voice of God in their lives. And so um understanding that there's a difference, and I like that. There's a difference between knowing about God versus knowing God. So theolog the theology is the study of God.
SPEAKER_02Yeah.
SPEAKER_00But you don't know God.
SPEAKER_02Yeah.
SPEAKER_00You couldn't have theology and still know God, but theology does not replace knowing God.
SPEAKER_01Right. It doesn't replace your relationship with God.
SPEAKER_00And that's what you have. Many theologians do, they don't have a personal relationship with God. And they're not able to, or many of them don't even believe in the audible voice of God in their lives.
SPEAKER_01Or they just they don't discern how God communicates with them. Yeah. They assume. They assume their hearing based off of based off of um the what's the word I'm looking for? Based off of how the world views success. Or based off of how the world views relationships, even the church and stuff like that. And the thing is, and and so you you're going off a system. You you're going off a system that's based off of this world instead of a relationship with God.
SPEAKER_03Yeah.
SPEAKER_01You know, uh you're assuming this is what God is saying, but you're only assuming this because of what it looks like to the world.
SPEAKER_00So it goes back to you listen to the teaching about God, uh, but never have, um, but you have never experienced him because they don't know how to communicate. You know? And so it once again goes to um, we have to be really careful because they're very theologically sound. They they're well versed within the words, the scripture. They understand Hebrew, they understand Greek. And so sometimes that can um mask itself as if you are uh deeply rooted in the things of God and have a relationship with God.
SPEAKER_01Because people could be, you could you could be very knowledgeable, very knowledgeable in a subject. You could be very knowledgeable in the word.
SPEAKER_00Well, we talked about this earlier on. There's a difference between gift and anointing. You could be gifted, but not anointed. Gifting is something that is just given to you, and you can perfect your gift, but anointing is something that comes from relationship with God.
Who You Hear Shapes How You Hear God
SPEAKER_01Right. And so, like, you can be knowledgeable in the word, but you still can't move in the spirit or have no power because you don't know God personally.
SPEAKER_00That digs back into when the scripture talked about when in Acts when Peter uh was uh teaching, and the Bible says that because it was the Holy Spirit that was speaking through him, right? It pierced the heart of man and stated, What must I do to be saved?
SPEAKER_01Right. And so And so and then that goes back to you being in church every Sunday, but you haven't been transformed because there's no power there.
SPEAKER_00The the revelation is what brings. Brings forth transformation. And the revelation only comes by way of relationship.
SPEAKER_02Right.
SPEAKER_00And so the power that lies within the scripture, because it's there, and that that can transform the lives of people, is through relationship with God. It's what activates it because what we've talked about this in previous episodes. There are so many different religions that read the Bible.
SPEAKER_02Oh, yeah.
SPEAKER_00There are those who are would be considered quote unquote demonic that read the Bible. I mean, heck, even Satan knows the scripture, even though people don't belong, don't believe that he do. He quoted the scripture back to Jesus when he was tempting him. You know, even the command from uh God to Adam and Eve stating what she stated when he was having a conversation with Eve. He stated, You won't surely die. He knew the command that was presented. He understood this is the command that was presented, but he twists it. And so we just gotta be really careful uh with that. So where do you want to go from here?
SPEAKER_02Um I don't know where we are. Are we at 0.6?
SPEAKER_00Yeah, we're at point six.
SPEAKER_02Okay.
SPEAKER_00And so uh we have about 15 minutes, and we're trying to do better with time. I know you all are like, hey, listen, if you want to be on for two hours, be on for two hours. But it'd be a challenge editing two hours worth of footage. If the Holy Spirit leaves, we'll be there. But um it says here, Jesus taught us how to communicate with God and how God communicates us, communicates with us. And Genesis reveals how God speaks. So how we know it is Him speaking, how He creates through His voice, and how He and how we are to speak back to Him to others and to creation. When you were putting this all together, what was coming to mind with you?
SPEAKER_01Can I be honest?
SPEAKER_00You don't remember?
SPEAKER_01No, I'm trying to go back to what I wrote. Um and I'm also hungry and I'm a little foggy right now. Um so I'm just Holy Spirit.
SPEAKER_00We thank you for being with my wife and helping her to get through these final parts of the episode until we finish where she can get something to eat. So I'll, you know, I'll jump in. Holy Spirit, I thank you for wisdom.
SPEAKER_02Okay, hold on.
SPEAKER_00Um because I understand where this is at. I understand what is being said.
SPEAKER_01And so I had what did I wrote? I wrote here. I'll read exactly what what came to me. And so maybe this will help. Um God Himself teaches us in Genesis how he speaks to us and how we can know that it is him who is speaking and creating, and how we are to speak back to him, and how we speak to others and speak to the things he created. Um, we know that the Bible talks about life and death is in the tongue, and how we communicate, and who we communicate with can either fill our lives with life or with death. And it can either break, it can either make or break the communication we have with God. And when speaking on this, oh never mind. I'm not gonna say the rest of that part. Well, but um in the beginning, um God shows us how he speaks um because when he's speaking, things start to come to life. We can see how he speaks life, but then also we can see how he speaks when Jesus comes in, he speaks not death, but he can he curses the fig tree, right? So I think so.
Beware The Yeast: Tainted Wells
SPEAKER_00Things that don't produce life, yeah, essentially. And it's really what what as you're saying that what what what's uh highlighted is that God's word carry the power of life, right?
SPEAKER_01And so like God's original design for communication is when when God spoke, um cre creation responded, right? The earth responded to him. So when he said, you know, um uh what was it, Genesis 1, 3, 6, and 9. What does it say?
SPEAKER_00Genesis uh chapter 1. And what do you mean, 3, 6, and 9?
SPEAKER_01Verses.
SPEAKER_00Okay. So uh Genesis 1 was not ready for that, but we're gonna go with it. Sorry. Put me on the spot. Genesis 1, verse 3 says, Then God said, Let there be light, and there was light. Uh verse 6 says, Then God said, Let there be a space between the waters to separate the waters of the heavens from the waters of the earth. And verse 7 says, And that is what happened. Uh verse 9 says, Then God said, Let the waters beneath the sky flow together into one place, so dry ground may appear. And this is what happened.
SPEAKER_01Mm-hmm. And so, in addition to that, it is like when God speaks, people, they it the his creation responds to him. There's like there's no com there's no confusion, it just happens. When he spoke to Adam and gave him instructions, Adam understood him clearly. There was no confusion. He did exactly what God asked him to do. But then, but then when sin entered, you know, the communication became distorted. So Adam and Eve, they started to hide from God's voice. They didn't want to communicate with him. So it was it was like um it's like the enemy wants you to distort what God is saying through through disabling your your ability? Yes, your ability to hear and see in both in the spirit and then the natural.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, because it shifts how you s view things from a natural perspective once he impacts your vision to see spiritually and your ability to hear spiritually. Yes. Then it also starts messing with your interpretation and your ability to receive revelation or translate what God is saying in the spirit into the natural. So yeah. So I see you have here, which is really important.
SPEAKER_01Uh I'm sorry, I don't really, I don't remember what That's fine.
SPEAKER_00I see you have here. We almost through. We almost through. Um that there's power, and we know this, we read the scripture all the time. Life is in the power of the tongue, right? And people still use their voices today to speak life or to speak death, right? Um, it's not always, it doesn't always require spells or magic or objects or rituals. It could be something as simple as you speaking something. And when you speak it, you have the ability to speak life or death over a situation over a person. And I think we touched on before in one of the previous episodes, especially within relationships, that you have to be mindful of what you speak over people, right?
SPEAKER_02Yeah.
SPEAKER_00And I think this is um that's Proverbs 18 and 21 that you could reference everyone uh for time's sake. Proverbs 18 and 21 says that the tone can bring death or life. Those who love to talk will reap the consequences confirming what you know that that there is power and of life and death in the tongues. And understanding that words aren't aren't neutral, right? It's going to do something. And how we communicate affects how we speak to God, hear from God, speak to others, and speak over situations. And I think this is very key, and this is James 3 and 2 through 6. The tone can direct the entire course of your life.
SPEAKER_01Yeah. It does because when we're young and our parents are speaking to us, whether they're speaking positively or negatively, it can be cursing us or or blessing us. Um, and and it changes the way that we we walk through life, the way that we hear, the way that we see. We all we see it through those, those curse words.
Theology Without Relationship Has No Power
SPEAKER_00Yeah. Many of us, even in our adulthood or adult age, many of you, uh, you're still fighting off those curses that were spoken over you by way of your parents. Uh, you're still fighting off those curses that were spoken over you by way of teachers, uh, by uh aunts, uncles, grandmothers, grandfathers, etc.
SPEAKER_03Yeah.
SPEAKER_00Uh we have to be careful because James 3 and 2 says that indeed we all make many mistakes, for if we could control our tongues, we would be perfect and could also control ourselves in every other way.
SPEAKER_02Right.
SPEAKER_00Right. And so it's really just important to understand, and we've touched on this before, the importance of controlling and minding your tongue. There's a scripture in the Bible that says, be slow to speak, uh, quick to listen. Oh, slow to speak, slow to angry, and quick to listen.
SPEAKER_02Right.
SPEAKER_00I believe if I'm not misquoting. Uh it's slow to speak. Uh let me see. Go ahead, babe. I'm gonna find that scripture. Uh, what is that scripture?
SPEAKER_02No, you're fine.
SPEAKER_01Uh I'm trying to flip back and forth between.
SPEAKER_00Um everyone, I'm looking for that scripture uh because I like to make sure I'm referencing referencing it correctly. That's actually James 119. And so James um 119 and in minding your tongue, it says to um where is that? There we go. It did not take me there, but it's fine. It says, Um understand this, my dear brothers and sisters, you must all be quick to listen, slow to speak, and slow to get angry. Human anger does not produce the righteousness God desires. So that's also once again the importance of minding our tongue. Right. And so, um, where else could we go from here?
SPEAKER_01Well, yeah, what we speak are literally like seeds, like God um in the beginning, when he was speaking, he's he was speaking seeds, and those seeds grew into whatever he is, whatever it is that he wanted to create. But we can unknowingly speak seeds and and place seeds in people that can be either groomed or grown by us, by them, or by other people.
SPEAKER_00Yeah. And the enemy will I found it interesting because even in like looking at certain instances in my life, when you have the enemy operating within your life, I saw, and we talked about this before, things that my mom's ex-husband said over me.
SPEAKER_02Yeah.
SPEAKER_00That was negative. And then you get with people and they say the same exact things because the spirits similarly.
SPEAKER_01Because that because the enemy allowed that person to plant that seed, and now he sends other people to help water those seeds. No different than God sends his messengers to water seeds, you know, good seeds in people. But yeah.
SPEAKER_00So I think this is really important, right? Um it states here communication is a spiritual responsibility. Um when God speaks, um I think it's important to understand that we be in the right position when God's speaking so we can hear. Because of the dangers that's associated with not being able to hear God. Um stated here is that, and this is Genesis 3 and 8, after sin, Adam hid from the voice of God.
SPEAKER_02Yeah.
SPEAKER_00And that the same hiding still happens today when people operate in the flesh. Sin will always um create a disconnect between us and God.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, it will always.
SPEAKER_00It will always create it like that. That's one of the first questions. Yes.
SPEAKER_01And a lot of people are, you think they're hearing from God, they they see God, they know God, but you have to look at their lives. Are they consecrated? You know, are they still doing the same things that you're doing? You know, if they're doing the same things you're doing and you can't hear from God, then they can't hear neither.
SPEAKER_00Yes. And that goes into spiritual manipulation because they'll say that they're hearing God, but hearing from God.
SPEAKER_01Because they know theology.
SPEAKER_00Yes, and they rely on that or rely on experiences and different things like that. And you can always, if you are where you're supposed to be, you can always locate the person in the spirit by power, by where the spirit. The Bible tells us Paul says what the spirit recognizes spirit.
SPEAKER_02Right.
Gift Vs Anointing And True Authority
SPEAKER_00And just so I'm not saying that, I'm gonna give you the scripture. But babe, do you do you want to touch on, I think this is key, this part, and I know you put this in here, the importance of seeds. And sometimes God is speak a word over someone's life and they'll feel like they haven't seen that word come to pass. So do you do you remember this being given to you? And the because I think this is really important. Because there's a lot of words out there that has been spoken that people think, okay, you know, maybe it's not gonna come to pass. Maybe I've heard incorrectly. Why haven't I seen the full manifestation of this word in my life?
SPEAKER_01And I think um, I don't remember, like I said, I don't remember this conversation I had with the Holy Spirit. I just wrote it down. Um, and I I have to go back to it. I'll be better next time. But I am hungry. Um, but what was coming to me is, you know, when when God speaks something and he plants a seed and we're wondering why it's not growing, we have to wonder where was that seed planted and why isn't it being watered? Why is it why is it not coming to pass? Because when in the beginning, when he spoke to the earth, it produced what it needed to produce. When he spoke to Adam, Adam produced what needed to be produced until sin came into the world. You know, and I think that there's a breakdown in communication with God when we're not producing what He's he's he's saying is happening.
SPEAKER_00Yeah.
SPEAKER_01Or not even like like just a well Yeah, there's a breakdown in communication, but we don't know why there's a breakdown in communication.
SPEAKER_00Because I think the important thing to understand is that you also the part of the breakdown in communication could also be seasons, times, not understanding that because with Jesus, he understood seasons and time.
SPEAKER_01Right. Or then you have the enemy in there trying to block our rulers or principalities that have to be fought in order for that word to get back to you.
SPEAKER_00Yeah. So everything fall, like everything, it uh it's late, like communication is so important in the spirit. It impacts everything. It impacts everything. Uh, and I think it's important to understand that how we have operated for so long. I I've fell victim to that, especially within the church. And you just operate under religion. It's not the way God is uh designed for us to operate, which is why many of us are we consider ourselves Christians. Uh we go to church faithfully, you pay tithe and offering, you are there every single Sunday religiously, you're every you're there on Tuesday night service, whenever they have services you are at church, yet you aren't seeing the power of God in your life.
SPEAKER_01Right. Because you aren't positioned to hear him.
SPEAKER_00Exactly. There's an there's a lack of communication, it's not God, it's you.
SPEAKER_01Yes.
SPEAKER_00We're the issue. And so it's something that we have to work on.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, there's a there's a piece of you that's hiding from God, like in the garden. Yeah, they were hiding from his voice.
SPEAKER_00And, you know, even as we end this out, you know, let's go back to these things. Who we listen to shapes who we become, right? And I think this is so important. Godly communication protects intimacy with the Father. It sharpens discernment and keeps us aligned with Christ, right? Because that discernment is very important as you're going from different going to different spaces, as you're listening to different types of music, as you're watching different TV programs. Heck, even as you're listening to teachings, right? Uh godly communication is very important or uh because it shapes your discernment to be able to be in those situations.
SPEAKER_02Right.
SPEAKER_00And uh communication rooted in the spirit produces life, clarity, and obedience.
SPEAKER_02Right.
SPEAKER_00And godly communication is foundational to walking with God.
SPEAKER_02Right.
SPEAKER_00How can you walk with God and have a relationship with God if there is a lack of communication there? I don't know how you're doing it.
Creation Responds To God’s Voice
SPEAKER_01Yeah, it's when communication is rooted in the spirit, it produces life, clarity, and obedience. And when it is rooted in the flesh, it produces confusion, fear, and separation.
SPEAKER_00And from a logical perspective, we have to look at this from this place, right? In relationships, how does that relationship how how is it going to continue if there's no communication? How do we draw closer if we have no communication? You just sit there, I sit there, we don't talk, we don't communicate. Or even when we communicate, I'm not hearing you, you're not hearing me. Many relationships, part of the breakdown of those relationships is when you're communicating, you're not hearing each other.
SPEAKER_02Right.
SPEAKER_00You're not the one party is not listening, or both parties aren't listening to each other. You're speaking, but you're not listening, you're speaking different languages.
SPEAKER_01Right. And that's how you form a relationship with God is through communicating with him, not just reading the Bible, but you're actually talking to him, you're asking him questions. He's talking back to you. That's how you form a com that's how you form communication. Yes. That's how when you get to the pearly gates, Jesus is like, oh, I know you. I know you because I talk to you.
SPEAKER_00And I think that's the key thing.
SPEAKER_01I know you because we have a conversation, we we we converse with each other, we have a relationship. You don't just know me. You know what I mean? Like I know you, know you.
SPEAKER_00So we have to get away from because for so long we've been in this space of knowing about God.
SPEAKER_01Yes.
SPEAKER_00But not knowing God.
SPEAKER_01Yes.
SPEAKER_00So the new norm has been.
SPEAKER_01So we assume we know God.
SPEAKER_00So the new norm has to be knowing God. And part of the reason that we're there because. Of tradition, and we've been under leadership and under leaders that don't know God. So it became religion to know about God and focus more so on knowing about God, but not knowing God. Religion over relationship. We've taught and we've preached and we've encouraged and we've sung about religion, but we don't teach relationship. So we gotta move back to relationship. And part of having a healthy relationship is communication.
SPEAKER_02Right.
SPEAKER_00It be it begins with good communication.
SPEAKER_01Right.
SPEAKER_00Healthy communication. Anything else you want to add, babe?
SPEAKER_01No, I'm just hoping this this episode wasn't confusing.
SPEAKER_00I don't think it was.
SPEAKER_01Okay.
SPEAKER_00Hopefully it wasn't. I believe that we touched on a lot. Um you know, you all can let us know. Um It went away that I didn't think it would go. And so but I think it went in a good direction. Because, you know, we can always talk about communicating in relationships and all of these different things and delve into what that means and how that looks. But I believe if we're going to discuss communication, it starts with God.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, it starts with the foundation.
SPEAKER_00So I think this podcast, you know, people may hear this and think, oh, they're going to talk about how we can properly communicate in our relationships with each other, but we are we focused more on how to communicate and the importance of having good communication with God.
SPEAKER_01Right. But then having communication with others shapes how you have how you communicate with God.
SPEAKER_00Yeah.
SPEAKER_01The way that you communicate with others or who you're communicating with.
SPEAKER_00It can. It it plays a part in it. Yet also communicating with God and having that proper relationship with him shapes the relationship you have with others as well.
SPEAKER_01Why, which is why Jesus referred to They're entangled. Yeah. Which is why Jesus gave that parable about the the yeast. Yes. Um, and the Pharisees.
SPEAKER_00Yes, it's an entanglement.
SPEAKER_01Yeah. He don't want you getting caught up with the wrong people.
SPEAKER_00You didn't catch that.
SPEAKER_01I did catch it. I just ignored what you were saying. Say, we don't do no entanglements over here. You don't entanglement.
SPEAKER_00Interesting thing. But yeah, you're the two coincides together. So it's almost like this perfect circle, right? Communicating with father uh impacts how you communicate with others. You're communicating with others. Impacts your relationship with others, impacts how your relationship is with the father.
SPEAKER_02Right.
SPEAKER_00If I have a tainted relationship with my dad, it's going to impact the type of relationship I can have with God. Now I have to go through healing.
SPEAKER_03Yes.
Life And Death In The Tongue
SPEAKER_00There's trauma there, there's all of these things to pull that out, weed all of that out and get rid of that so I can have a healthy relationship with the father.
SPEAKER_02Right.
SPEAKER_00So I think it did what it was supposed to do. I believe. You all can let us know what your thoughts are. Hopefully it's been prayerfully, it's been a blessing. It's not us. Um, it's not where I expected to go with it, but it's where I believe God wanted us to go. So all right. Anything else you want to add?
SPEAKER_01No, no, no. We just we just thank you guys for for sticking with us.
SPEAKER_00You really do. We appreciate you, and we're about to go and get my wife something to eat. All right, so happy new year, um, happy holidays to you all, and we look forward to all of the great things that God does in this new year of 2026.
SPEAKER_01What you was about to say?
unknownNothing.
SPEAKER_012026. Well, you said 2026, I was thinking like 2023 for some reason. I don't know why that number came to me.
unknownYes.
SPEAKER_00So be blessed. Uh we love you, we appreciate you, and we will see you next week.
SPEAKER_01Prayerfully.
SPEAKER_00We will. We're gonna be committed to this now.
SPEAKER_01We will be committed, and prayerfully, we will be able to speak on why.
SPEAKER_00At some point, we'll be able to share our testimony.
SPEAKER_01But why is it to God be the glory?
SPEAKER_00You know, we I think what we say this all the time: do not be with people God has not called you to be with. And be mindful of the decisions that you make. Because, you know, we're learning now that it can impact your life in the long run. And um, we will consistently be people who encourage you to trust God and follow God, not men.
SPEAKER_01And communicate with him.
SPEAKER_00Communicate with him in all your decisions, especially who you do life with.
SPEAKER_01Yes.
SPEAKER_00There are many that can attest to the importance of that so that you don't have unnecessary warfare and unnecessary problems.
SPEAKER_01Or delays.
SPEAKER_00Or delays or promises. Because the enemy will try to use whatever, wherever, however, to try to distract away from doing the will of God.
SPEAKER_02Right.
SPEAKER_00So that's that. And to God be the glory. It is what it is. God is still greater than anything, he's still greater than all. And we stand firm on that. The creator of the heavens and the earth. He is still God. Jesus is still Jesus. And we stand firm and look to him as being that. So, till next time, we appreciate you. Uh, keep us in your prayers, and we will see you then.
SPEAKER_01Bye.
SPEAKER_00Bye.
SPEAKER_01God bless.
